Scripture Sunday

by Mrs. Moneysaver on November 2, 2008

Sorry this post has been absent for a week or two. Between being in the first trimester of pregnancy and having a busy several weeks on the calendar, I’m afraid I’ve been slacking on my weekend postings here! But I think life is slowing down a bit for now, and I hope to get some energy back soon. Anyway, at least I am getting this post to you, even if it is late in the day. That’s an improvement from last week, eh?

“The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7b (Holy Bible, New International Version)

Not many people do a Sunday post, so it’s nice to see folks who do. Feel free to link in any time on my Sunday Sustenance feature.

I think that when we as imperfect people look at a person we have a habit of judging them on their appearance, clothing, etc. When God looks at us he looks past our outward appearance and sees our heart. This is something we can hide from one another, but not from him.
