I recently ran into a pregnancy problem. None of my pre-pregnancy pants would zip, much less button, anymore. And my maternity pants were just too big still. I spent the whole day hitching them up. Please tell me I’m not the only pregnant one out there with this wardrobe malfunction! I was actually considering buying some non-maternity pants in a size or two larger than I would usually wear, in hopes that would hold me over for a few weeks more until my maternity pants fit better.
Given my pants dilemma, I was thrilled when given the opportunity to try out the BellaBand by Ingrid & Isabel. This little invention is fabulous. And an absolute money-saver. Since my husband is sick of hearing me tell him (again and again) how much I love it, I’m going to share it with you. Excuse me if I sound informerical-like, but I am just a BellaBand believer now. Gotta spread the word!
The BellaBand is a stretchy tube you wear around your waist during pregnancy (and after) to help your clothes fit better and longer. It’s made of a thick, soft spandex/nylon mix, so it always returns to it’s original shape after being worn and washed. And it’s so comfortable on my stomach that I swear my belly is thanking me for the treat each day.
For those mamas-to-be who still fit in their regular pants everywhere but the waist, the BellaBand can be worn over your unzipped pants. The BellaBand holds up your pants and seamlessly hides the un-done zipper and button. Brilliant! See how nicely it holds up my favorite pair of pre-pregnancy jeans? You can’t tell, but I have these jeans unzipped under the BellaBand. The pants aren’t falling down to my knees or even sagging in the behind. They appear to be a perfect fit even at 23 weeks pregnant.

Now I feel like I have my wardrobe back again. (At least the pants portion anyway.) The BellaBand has made getting ready in the morning a breeze, as I now have plenty of clothing options that fit.
The other beautiful aspect of the BellaBand is that I can now wear my maternity pants that are still a bit too big without doing that annoying and embarrassing step-hitch-step-hitch routine when I walk. The BellaBand keeps the maternity pants in place while they’re still too loose.
I am looking forward to using my BellaBand later in the pregnancy too. In the months ahead, I just know my ever-growing belly will relentlessly push down my maternity pants. The BellaBand will keeps those guys in place nicely.
Then, after I have the baby, the BellaBand will allow me to once again wear my pre-pregnancy pants un-zipped. Or I will be able to wear my too-big maternity clothes for a while, with the help of the BellaBand, as I slim down into my regular clothes. After my first was born, I was devastated to find that for a few months, none of my pre-pregnancy clothes fit. So I went out and spent loads of money on pants that fit at the time. By the time my daughter was four or five months old, however, I was able to fit back into my old clothes, and the money I spent on larger pants had been wasted. The BellaBand is a perfect solution to those months of transition.
The BellaBand comes in several basic colors and styles that will match nearly every woman’s wardrobe. And for those who prefer the look of lacy cami layering, the BellaBand can also be purchased in “Everyday Lace”. Cute!
For this review, I selected the coffee-colored BellaBand. Two days in a row, I’ve shown people my BellaBand, and they were stunned I wasn’t just layering with a cami. See how stylish it looks?
I layer tops like this when I’m not pregnant, and I love the look. Now the BellaBand gives me that layering look, while holding up my pants during these months of pregnancy.
If you’re pregnant, or buying a gift for someone who is, I suggest giving the BellaBand a try. I love mine. And for about $30, it truly is a money-saver. I’m able to get through this pregnancy buying less maternity clothes- and in comfort! Plus, the BellaBand has bought me some time to decide what maternity clothes I really need to buy, given the upcoming warmer weather.

These things are great! I had one for my second pregnancy and I just wish I had had one for my first. It is taking me a little longer to bounce back into my old clothes with this child and it’s so great to have the band until I’m able to squeeze into my old jeans. They are a great buy!
They are wonderful, aren’t they!! i wished I’d found them during my first pgcy when I REALLY needed them. I never got that full preggo belly that helps hold maternity pants up yet obviously couldn’t wear my regular pants anymore. When I found the Bellaband during my 2nd pgcy i bought 3 so that i would never be without!! i love them so much that i wish someone would make a maternity/ nursing bra that was just as comfy and functional.
Wow, I wish they had these around when I was having babies.
