Kroger and PepsiCo provided me with a gift card to see how much I could save during the Kroger Mega Savings Event this week. While I didn’t take advantage of some of the deepest discounts of the sale because my family won’t use those items, I was very pleased with my savings! I bought 30 Mega Event items plus plenty of other groceries for my family.
Here’s what I bought:
The bottom line:
I spent $57.62.
I saved $99.55!
You can see the deals and coupons I used to get these savings here. The event runs through September 2nd, so you still have plenty of time to take advantage of the sale. (Dates may vary for your local store, so be sure to check your sales ad for details.)
Kroger and PepsiCo. want to help you save too. They’ve given me a $30 gift card to give to one Frugal in Virginia reader. Hopefully this will give one of you a nice start on your savings!

I love grocery savings. Too much to choose from.
My kids are college bound and yoplait yogurt & granola bars are weekly purchases for my “mom care packages”! I would love to win the gift card to allow a little cost reduction to my grocery bill! I thought that when they went off to college my groceries would be next to nothing, but I find I still cook/bake & freeze goodies for them to take back with them each visit!

I am SO hooked on Betty Crocker Warm Delights! The Hot Fudge Brownie is my favorite. They are so quick and easy, we even took them on vacation with us and fixed them at the hotel! YUM-O!

I love wraps. I don’t think we’ve used the Old El Paso brand, but as with most frugal shopping, I’ve gotten used to trying different brands.

I think I saw somewhere that the Naked Smoothies are included in the sale – I LOVE those. They’re a once-in-a-blue moon treat for me. Our family also loves Wanchai Ferry and I’m so excited they’ve finally come out with a frozen skillet dinner!
I love alot of these items but my kids are especially fond of the Ragu double cheddar sauce.
The Wanchai Ferry meals really intrigue me. I’m really bummed that my printer isn’t working.
