I like reading your posts on Safeway deals because of the fun comparison. I’m way on the other side of the country (Oregon) so, obviously, your deals aren’t the same as mine but, still, it’s interesting to know what they are charging for things out there!
As for applesauce, I’ve never done it in the slow cooker because it is so easy on the stove top but I have done apple butter in the slow cooker and it is delicious! I like to do apple butter in the slow cooker because I’m less likely to burn it that way. Kristin- Do you find your prices are higher or lower in Oregon. I have noticed that those on the coasts seem to be paying much more than those in the midwest.
