I’ve heard a lot about Alice.com in recent weeks, so I figured it was high time I look into it myself. I have to say, I was skeptical. Very. Alice is an online store that sells household items and ships them right to your door, and I found it unlikely they could compete with the deals I find in brick and mortar stores.

All in all, I was actually pleasantly surprised. While the prices are usually a bit more than I would normally spend, they do offer some great sale items. And shipping is free so you don’t have to worry about that added expense. The convenience factor is definitely a brownie point earner! Though I get awfully good prices at brick and mortar places, I’ll use Alice if the convenience makes up for a slight price difference.

Alice offers special sale items at deeply discounted prices. These are the items that I suggest looking into frequently. It looks like many of these bargains are based on a limited quantity of e-coupons, so the prices might not stick around for long.

1 Jackie October 26, 2009 at 5:56 pm: I use Alice all the time and I love it. The convenience factor is huge because we live in DC and there are no box stores near us. I love that they ship for free and that you still get the coupon savings!

I liked being able to search by sale or bargain pricing; and the automatic coupons are a nice touch. You just can’t beat free shipping either. So far, I am sold! Once I receive my package, I have a feeling I’ll be spreading the word!
