San Francisco Bound!

Ah, I’ll be enjoying this view in just less than two weeks!

Remember the DealPro search I told you about last week?  Well, I was thrilled and surprised earlier this week to hear that I have been selected as a Savings.com DealPro.  I feel so honored and humbled to be a part of this DealPro program.  Thanks, Savings.com!

So what does this mean?  More immediately, I’m heading to San Francisco for the 2009 Save Up Conference November 5th.  Eek!  I’ve never been to California so it’s a pretty big deal to this East Coast girl (especially when the trip is all expenses paid!).  Don’t be fooled into thinking that this will be a vacation though.  No, you see, a wave of insanity washed over me yesterday as I booked my trip.  Ryan and I have already booked a weekend getaway just a couple of days after Save Up.  I didn’t want to be gone from my kids too long in light of that, so I decided to do the West Coast and back in one day.  (What the heck was I thinking?!)  I’ll be leaving home Thursday morning long before the sun comes up, arriving just in time for the Save Up event, learning about savings trends and social media with some fabulous bloggers, and then flying home that night after the festivities end.  I’ll be back on the East Coast before my kids wake up Friday.  It’s going to be a wonderful whirlwind, I’m sure!

But this also means that the newly re-launched DealPro blog will be up and running at full speed soon.  It will be another great source for you to find money saving information.  Those of us who were selected for the DealPro program will be contributing blog posts there.  So make sure you check it out!
