Harris Teeter: 11/4-11/10

The best bargains this week come primarily from the Triple Coupons event.  Harris Teeters are tripling coupons up to and including 99 cents face value.  Limit 20 tripled coupons per household per day.  You must use your VIC card to receive the tripled savings.  If you don’t have a VIC card, you can sign up in store and use your card the very same day.  Harris Teeter stores will triple up to three of the same coupons, except in the case of internet printable coupons.  Stores will triple up to two of the same internet printables.  I suggest reading the full coupon policy before you shop.  Remember, product prices, as well as coupon values, vary from region to region.

I’ve heard reports that some Harris Teeter stores are no longer tripling coupons that say “Do Not Double or Triple”.  Please be aware of that possibility when you shop, and perhaps speak with customer service before making your purchases.

The deals below are based solely on the ad sales.  I’m heading to San Francisco in just over 12 hours and still have loads to do before then, so for the sake of time, I’m just going to direct you to two fabulous triple coupon lists for the rest of the bargains.  $30 Weekly Grocery Challenge has a nice roundup here of free and cheap items after tripled coupons.  And The Deal Scoop has put together an awesome Google document of triple coupon matches that you can sort by insert date, price, or aisle of the store based on whatever is easiest for you.

i went to harris teeter today and the cashier practically said i was stealing. she told me about a couple that came in and it didn’t “seem right” how they got hundreds for dollars. i was doing the same…well i planned on doing the same. until they refused to take any coupon that states in the fine print “will reimburse at face value”. and yes, those of you with coupons, that is almost every single coupon that exists! plus she said they ‘changed’ their policy and no longer accept certain coupons, including competitor coupons(such as 5/25) but she had no policy to show me…just word of mouth. it was so disheartening. i felt like crying! i ended up giving her 90% of what i picked out, because they refused to “give it free”

Very nice list! I didn’t see the Mazola Olive Oil cooking spray there, but you can get that too for free: $2.99 normally, but it is BOGO, so $1.50 – $.50 coupon in 10/4 SS = FREE.

Also, Yakisoba Japanese Noodles are $.99 but with the $.50 10/18 SS coupong they are free too.

Beth- Sorry to hear you had such a bad time at HT! I sure hope they aren’t serious about the “at face value” thing. (On a local note: I’ve actually found the Hollymeade HT to be a bit more coupon friendly than the one at Barrack’s. It must just depend on the cashier you get.)
