Even though I may not always eat perfectly healthy (understatement of the year as I eat a chocolate chip cookie…), I am very careful about what I give my children to eat. So much so, it’s become a joke among some of my family. But really, I’m just trying my best to the make the food they eat count nutritionally as I help them develop good eating habits.
So when I was given the opportunity to test-drive HappyBaby products with my kids, I jumped in excitedly.

HappyBaby gave me some HappyBaby frozen baby food and cereal for Jack, my nearly 7-month old. Unforunately, Jack is protesting against anything that’s not his bottle, so we haven’t actually gotten him to try his food. That being said, I’m very pleased with it. This baby food comes frozen in small cubes that you thaw or microwave, and it’s made from organic ingredients. I’ve thawed out a few cubes and was thrilled with how fresh the food seemed. The colors were bright, and it’s a great consistency. It reminded me of homemade baby food that I would make if I could ever get the consistency right!
On the other hand, Sadie- my two year old- was excited to try all the different toddler product lines. She thought the the Mac & Cheese Bites and Veggie Tots were good, and she downed nearly a whole package of the HappyMelts in one sitting. And today, she’s been eying the canister of HappyPuffs for her afternoon snack. So I think it’s safe to say HappyBaby is Sadie-approved.
I’m glad she enjoyed the HappyBaby food, but I think I appreciated it more. The HappyBaby line is all minimally processed and made of organic , non-genetically engineered ingredients. And when I compared it to other national brand baby and toddler foods, it often came out on top nutritionally. Besides the healthiness of the food, I appreciate that HappyBaby supports sustainable farming.
While I do find the regular price of some of the items a bit hard to swallow, I am also willing to pay a bit more for healthy, organic options for my kids when we can. And when I compared prices on some of the items- like the HappyPuffs and HappyTot meals- at Whole Foods and Target, I found HappyBaby was definitely competitive in their pricing. Plus, I’ve seen coupons available for HappyBaby on occassion, which is always a plus!
HappyBaby also wants to share a bit of this yummy goodness with one Mrs. Moneysaver reader. One of you will win the following:
-2 free trial coupons for each of the Happy Family lines.
-1 FAQ on Probiotics & DHA
-1 infant & toddler Nutrition Guide, co-authored by Dr. Sears
-1 HAPPYFAMILY Recipes

I am a subscriber – Do you know anything about HappyBaby products being involved in a product recall? I tried to by a couple of tubes of baby food at Target last night and they set off a sensor at checkout and I wasn’t allowed to purchase them. Just curious – thanks!
