Harris Teeter 2/17-2/23: Ad and Super Doubles Matchups!

by Dana @ Mrs. Moneysaver on February 17, 2010

harris teeter logo

Woohoo!  Harris Teeter stores are offering Super Double coupons this week.  Stores are doubling coupons up to and including $1.98.  (Example, a coupon for $1.50 gives you $3 off instead).  The limit is 20 coupons per household per day.  You must use your VIC card to receive the doubled savings.  If you don’t have a VIC card, you can sign up in store and use your card the very same day.  Harris Teeter stores will double up to three of the same coupons, except in the case of internet printable coupons.  Stores will double up to two of the same internet printables.  I suggest reading the full coupon policy before you shop.  Remember, product prices, as well as coupon values, vary from region to region.

Below, you’ll find the week’s deals first, followed by other Super Double coupon matchups.

Remember, there’s a print function at the bottom of this post that will allow you to print and organize your shopping trip easier!  If you’re reading from an email subscription, you’ll have to click over to the site to print.

(Note:  This post took me many hours to compile.  Please do not copy & paste the deals listed below into your own blog post without first asking.  Thank you!)

SUPER DOUBLES!!!!! YEAH!!! I LOVE these! Can’t wait to get my stuff together and go shopping- I’ve been saving up!

PS- you can use 20 coupons per VIC card per day. I use my husband’s VIC card somedays so I can make two trips! Shhhhh….

2 Dana February 17, 2010 at 7:53 am

Hey Emily- I was so excited for Super Doubles too!! I hope at make two trips over the next week.

Technically, you’re supposed to have just one VIC card per household, so that’s why I say 20 per day per household.

Dana,

I know. But I had mine before I moved in with my husband. Yes, I’m a cheater…but I have twins!

Thanks so much for the awesome matchups this time- you obviously worked very hard on this!

That’s okay by me! :) But I just wanted to let you know that’s why I say 20 per day per household.

Twins?! Wow, I can’t imagine how busy you must be. I have a lot of respect for sane moms with twins. :) I feel like I’m loosing my mind with 2 kids that are 2 years apart!

5 Emily G. February 17, 2010 at 4:32 pm

Hey, I NEVER said I was sane…. :)

Maybe that’s why I get so excited about coupons- it doesn’t take much for me anymore!

I went to HT today and the cashier asked where I got the coupons- I told her about your site. I’m you’re biggest fan!

Well, off to go through coupons while the boys are entertained. You can see pics of my almost six months old boys on my FB page- Emily Kaydos Gibson.

I linked your list up at the bottom of my page.
Spent $2.56, saved $53.99 in coupons Yeah!

Yes, don’t these matchups take just the longest time? This one took over 3 hours. I love shopping Super Doubles, but part of me kinda dreads it b/c of the amount of work the HT post will take!

Anyway, nice job on the savings! I’m going to make my first trip tomorrow morning. Hoping the shelves will still be stocked!

Yes, I thought the Hunts coupon was super weird. So weird, in fact, that I didn’t have the patience to sit through actually printing it. *blush* I’m not quite sure why the company thought that was a good idea…. But at least they’re offering coupons after all the nonsense! :)

Am I the only one that has trouble in this circumstance:

2 products are $1.50 each, and you have $1/2, all my stores will only give you up to the price of ONE item, so I would get $1.50 instead of $2 off. Sometimes it’s still a good deal, but many times it’s not. I still see most people post deals like the coupon would double for them, so I really wanna know if this only happens to me (at all my Harris Teeters and our local Farm Fresh when they double $1)

Reply

21 Dana @ Mrs. Moneysaver February 18, 2010 at 3:32 pm

Good question! I’ve found that stores will treat these $1/2 type of coupons differently, so your mileage will definitely vary on those purchase depending on your store. My Harris Teeter will double the full amount as long as the value of the two combined doesn’t exceed the doubled coupon amount, but I guess it really depends on your location perhaps?

Had a great shopping trip today. Spent $20.85 and saved $63.24. Another good deal is on the Hershey Kisses. I don’t recall which insert I got the coupon out of, but it was $1/2 and it was in a recent insert. The Valentine’s Day Hershey Kisses are 50% off. I got two bags for $.89 each!

Thanks for your post and site. I am new to this, just trying to learn. I went to harris teeter tonight and totally forgot about the 20 item limit and after I got home I realized it. Oh well, I still saved $60, but could have saved another $40 if I had made the two trips (different day). I will know next time.
Thanks again!

I made our first trip last night. The Quaker Oatmeal wasn’t on sale at our store (the Hollymead – Charlottesville location). I was a bit bummed but did good on my savings. Spent $110, saved $205.
If you shop Walgreens and get Register Rewards but don’t have something else to buy there. Use your RR at HT. They ring up since they are Manufactor’s Coupons. I had $33 in RR I used at HT last night from the diaper sale at Walgreens last week (took me several trips to get those RRs!)
