Happy Birthday, Ebates!

by Mrs. Moneysaver on May 13, 2010

Ebates is celebrating its 11th birthday this month by giving us a gift- 11% back at select online stores.  That’s right, through May 17th, you’ll receive 11% cash back from select retailers when you shop through Ebates.

Some of the participating store highlights of this offer-

  • Gap family stores (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Piperlime)
  • Barnes and Noble
  • FTD Florists
  • Lancome
  • LeapFrog
  • Lillian Vernon
  • Macys
  • Proactiv
  • Sephora
  • Shutterfly
  • Snapfish
  • Vera Bradley
  • White House Black Market
  • Ann Taylor
  • and more… You can see the full list once you sign in or create an Ebates account.

Many of these stores typically offer much less than 11%, so if you have purchases to make, this could be a good time to buy.  Plus, if you’re new to Ebates, you’ll get a $5 cash back bonus once you make purchases through Ebates that total $20.

If you’ve never tried Ebates before, here’s the scoop- Ebates offers cash back when you shop at your favorite online stores.  Before you shop, just visit Ebates and search for the online store you want to purchase from.  Ebates will then tell you how much cash back you can earn from that retailer, and you’ll be directed to the online store to shop as usual.  Within a month or so, the cash back rebate will appear in your Ebates account, and you’ll be cut a check at the end of the quarter as long as your Ebates balance is over $5.  If not, then you’ll just carry your cash back amount over until you do reach the $5.01 payout minimum.  Ebates even works on many of the free and very inexpensive deals that share on Mrs. Moneysaver, including some photo offers.

I’ve been using Ebates for two years and love it!  Happy birthday, Ebates!

Thanks, Moneywise Moms!
