Easy Granola Bar Recipe

I found this recipe in a Rachel Ray magazine several years ago. It is pretty simple and you can easily adjust it for whatever cereal, nuts, etc. that you like to add. I have added other cereals, coconut, and nuts before. Andy really likes these and I have not made them in awhile, so I thought I’d make them today.

Granola Bar Recipe:

4 T Butter
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C honey
2 C granola
1 C rice krispies cereal
1/2 C raisins
1/2 C thin pretzel sticks
1/2 C chocolate chips (I like to use the mini chips)

In a medium saucepan combine sugar, honey and butter. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, then lower to a simmer until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in the rest of ingredients except chocolate. Press into an ungreased 9×13 pan. Press chocolate chips on top. Let set in the fridge until firm, about 15 minutes. Cut into bars and enjoy!
