How to Make a Shopping Cart Cover – Free Pattern

by Shannon on November 30, 2010

I’ve always wanted a shopping cart cover to take with me to the store when I take my little ones along.  But, I’ve always been too cheap to buy one, so I have to wipe down the shopping cart seat every time I go.  I was thrilled to learn that I could make one, and it really isn’t that hard:

You can watch the second part of this “how to make a shopping cart cover” video here.

Making one will definitely be a lot less expensive than buying a shopping cart cover.  Spindle To Sashes has also offered the shopping cart cover pattern to download for free here. You can also get a “no-sew” shopping cart cover pattern here.

Thanks for posting this, I passed it along! Now I need a sewing machine so I can make one.

Hi Sunnie,
There’s also a “no sew” pattern for you to use without a sewing machine :o)
