Mark Your Calendars, Bloggers!

It all began with an idea from a certain special lady, and that spark turned into a blaze one evening during the Type A Mom conference when Sarah Mae, Jessica, and I began chatting.

And I’m excited to finally fill you guys in on what was started that night and what we’ve been working on since- Relevant.

So just what is Relevant?

(Eek!  I’ve been waiting so long to share this with you!)

“The Relevant Conference exists to offer a place of face to face interaction with Christian women bloggers who want to be relevant in the larger blog and social media world. Our goal is to go beyond the surface into intentional blogging and real life living. We support women turning their hearts toward home and using their blogs to bless their families while also engaging the world for the glory of God. Relevant is a one-of-a-kind conference that seeks to engage women by teaching blogging techniques and social media skill while also urging and encouraging women to live fully integrated lives with their faith and family.”  (From the Relevant mission here)

So mark your calendars for October 21-24 in Harrisburg, PA at the Sheraton Hershey Hotel.  (That’s right, think chocolate!)

You won’t want to miss the fabulous line up of speakers we have planned, including some frugal living bloggers that I’m guessing you might be familiar with, like Crystal (keynote!) Alyssa, and Jen.  (You can get the full scoop on the speakers here.)

Make sure you keep up with the latest Relevant news (including registration!) here and here.  And I’ll be sure to keep you updated on Relevant too.

I hope to meet you there!

I would love to go to this! However, I’d need to discuss it with my hubby and figure out how to raise the funds for registration and hotel.
What a great idea you, Sarah Mae and Jessica had! Let me tell you, when I first stumbled into the “frugal blogosphere” a year ago, the thing I was most encouraged by was the fact that many frugal bloggers were Christian moms like myself! It is great that you’re planning a Christ-centered conference for women bloggers!

Dana, this sounds amazing! I’ve not considered going to a blogging conference before, but this makes me definitely consider it! It’s not too far away from me, either. Who knows, maybe we’ll have the chance to meet in person!

I am so excited that you guys are excited! :)

As the conference comes nearer, I’ll post (the very little bit I know) about getting conference sponsorships for those of you who want to go but think you can’t swing the cost.

Jen- We’re thrilled you’re going to be a part of it!

Liz- I would love to finally meet in person. Hoping you can come!
