The rewards usually come out the month following the offer. So any December Rewards should be received by the end of this month.
I don’t think you should have any problems using a Rewards check on these freebies though I haven’t yet tried it myself. (I asked some other bloggers, and they think it should be fine too since the Rewards don’t specifically say you can’t!)
